Rules for KHPC
Kitty Hawk strictly adheres to and is compliant with all applicable government
regulations regarding acceptance and transportation of human remains.
To ensure that the shipping process goes as smoothly as possible, please
adhere to the following requirements:
- Advance arrangements are required.
- Certificate of Death, burial permit, burial removal permit and/or
other documentation as required by local, state, federal and international
regulations must accompany remains.
- Uncasketed human remains must be shipped in an industry standard combination unit(combo-unit). Casketed remains should be shipped in an industry standard wood based air tray. Alternative containers shipping casketed remains should be made of wood or other rigid material with a top loading capability of at least 450 lbs.
- Cremated remains must be packed in a sealed outer box or case for
transport.
- The shipper must comply with all local, state, federal and international
regulations.
